How will the facility be built and when will it be operational?
The Bioprocess Pilot Facility (BPF) will be built in three phases. The first phase is aimed at the complex pretreatment of biomass by means of biorefinery processes. Parallel to this, equipment will be installed to produce biofuels and biochemicals, and separation technologies will be added. The third phase will be realized at a somewhat later stage (new generation bioreactors). Eventually the BPF will span about 5000 m2.
