Master and advanced courses

Advanced courses on Master and PhD level are an essential part of the BE-Basic education program, to stimulate and prepare our future work force for jobs in the biobased economy. This work force is not restricted to the Netherlands; several of BE-Basic’s international partners, from Brazil and China, have expressed their interest for collaboration in this area, where possible embedded in dual degree programs.

For Brazil the focus is on advanced courses (graduate and post-graduate level) for academic and industrial participants, jointly organised with our key academic partners, such as the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). For more information on the Brazilian joint education program and a list of on-going / planned courses, see BE-Basic Brazil.

For China, BE-Basic partner TU Delft has planned an advanced course on Bioprocess Engineering (Fall 2014) together with partner university ECUST in Shanghai. This course was originally develolped and offered by the Dutch Biotechnology Studies Delft Leiden (BSDL) and is regularly taught in the Netherlands.
